SOFTWARE UNHACKABLE BY NEW CRYPTOGRAPHY TOOL

00:16Unknown

FIRST- Software companies have tried to distort their code in order to prevent others from seeing how it worked. But to the worst, security and hacking communities defeated all their measures. Cryptography experts experimented with strong measures, but it wasn't until the most recent collaboration that the best results started falling into place.

NEXT- An idea called "BLACK BOX OBFUSCATOR" has been in progress by the cryptographers. The idea is to pass the program through the black box and here the program would be so fundamentally garbled that no one would be able to figure out how it worked or what secrets it might hold — only inputs and outputs would be visible, which is exactly what we want. This made the communications almost completely secure. All we need to do is create encryption keys with an obfuscated program and then make that program available to others, since others will not be able to figure out the decryption key from examining the obfuscated program.

NOW- Researchers team from IBM and MICROSOFT made a breakthrough in the quest for unbreakable cryptography.A member of the team,AMIT SAHAI worked on a concept of indistinguishability obfuscation(CONFUSION) a few years back. Two programs that do the same thing would be indistinguishable from each other at the end of it. Recent work has pointed  to this as a surprisingly powerful cryptographic tool. This tool an be used to generate digital signatures, encryption keys, and more without leaking any of the inner workings of applications.

WORKING PRINCIPLE : Splicing random bits of data into the program’s code so that it cannot be   extracted in a functional state.
TEST                               : The team tested it by deploying every tool and hack they could come up with.
RESULT                          : The obfuscator remains undefeated.
The results produced by the team hope that encryption could protect not just an output, but an entire program. The indistinguishability obfuscator is not ready for use in the real world, though. It,s still a great concept for cryptography.
